3. "An Opuscule" (1909-1913)

Proust began to work on a new project in 1908 that would gradually become his novel In Search of Lost Time. 

In November 1909, he writes to another correspondent:

“I read the opening (200 pages!) to Reynaldo and his response greatly encouraged me […] I now feel it is my duty above all else to work toward finishing this.”
